But some people can…

January 16, 2007 at 12:20 am

I frequent the blog of J David Macor, and in his post about how 16,000 Playstation 3's will destroy the world I was compelled to click a link he referenced as "but some people can..." (curse how easy it is to getting lost in links on blogs, curse I say). The link revealed an exploration into who The 400 Richest Americans are according to Forbes on September 21, 2006.

Ok, so I'm now over my depression from looking at the figures of these rich bastards. I'm sure this list may be old news to some of you, but here's a quick look at the top 10; head over to the link (above) to see the whole list.

William Henry Gates III
53.0
Microsoft
Warren Edward Buffett
46.0
Berkshire Hathaway
Sheldon Adelson
20.5
Casinos, Hotels
Lawrence Joseph Ellison
19.5
Oracle
Paul Gardner Allen
16.0
Microsoft, Investments
Jim C Walton
15.7
Wal-Mart
Christy Walton (& family)
15.6
Wal-Mart (inheritance)
S Robson Walton
15.6
Wal-Mart
Michael Dell
15.5
Dell
Alice L Walton
15.5
Wal-Mart

Oh, and yes, those decimal figures — those are billions. Crazy how Wal-Mart is in that list four times. I mean, I knew the Waltons were rich, but dayum — four Walton's in the top 10 of the top 400 richest Americans!?

By the way, the J David Macor I talk about in this post is famous; did you know that?!

Yep, he's the first real, living, typing, blogger to post a comment on my blog — that makes him famous. Ok, so not Hollywood famous, but hey, you weren't the first to post on my blog, so he's got you beat...

Damn, I've got a lame blog — up since 2003, zero comments — guess it's back to my depression...

    Hooray for being famous!

Well, not really... I think I have all of 30 readers... on a good day... when I give away free porn...

Now let us have a minute of silence to wallow in our pity.......

Alright, you can head back to your depression :)
