Once again, I haven’t updated my blog in a while, and I’m feeling pretty guilty about it. However, some monumental things have been happening in my life lately and I simply haven't had the time to write some in-depth blog post about a new programming language I'm trying, a new webapp I'm using or a new milestone happening with my agency; I'm sure all of my 3 readers understand (hah)...
So, when I have a minute, I'll post a follow-up that details more about what's been going on with me lately, but first things first:
Yep, I found out around noon today that my first son Junior (who is now 7 months old) is going to be a big brother — it was planned (just came a little sooner than we expected), and she is (ahem, I mean we are) hoping for a girl!
As for names, regardless of the gender, Alanna and I have our brains stuck on using the same initials as Junior (and myself), so JMH is our target — honestly, choosing a girls name isn't as difficult as trying to pick another boys name with the same initials (without using the same middle name over again). We'll just have to wait and see...
Anyway, the first trimester is the most critical, so please keep us in your prayers and check back here frequently for new announcements!

I am Jeremy Helms, 27 year old graphic designer, web designer, site architect, programmer, copywriter and ambitious entrepreneur. I was born and live in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. This site is my personal periodical for design, code, business and other topics. When I'm not glued to the computer, I enjoy music, movies, late-night television and sometimes a good night out on the town with friends.
I began professional work in the IT industry 12 years ago in September, 1995. I started my first business in 1998, incorporated my second business in 2001, my third in 2002 and my fourth and most recent in 2006. I am a sponge — I am constantly exploring and learning — about business, design, programming, history, society, and whatever pops up on blogs across the web.

Haha, you've got it! Don't tell anyone, but I'm actually just having more kids so I can have cheaper employees when they get older..
We're having another BOY! I'll have pics of the ultrasound up soon, just wanted to inform anyone who is waiting in anticipation!
We share the excitement as your family grows. Hang in there Alanna, things will smooth out so you can make personal plans of your own in about 6 years when you send them to school. We're looking forward to getting together for the Christmas Holiday. Love, Dad!
Well, I'll get a new blog post up soon, but until then I'll just make a quick comment on this one; his name is Jedi Mac Helms, born 8lbs 4oz on May 6, 2008 @ 12:39 PM. He is just over two weeks old now, doing good (although a bit of colic, as we expected) and Alanna has made almost a full recovery from the cesarean birth. Thanks to those who came by the hospital or called, we are welcome to visitors just call in advance so we can prepare as necessary.
CONGRATULATIONS you two! Our hearts are jumping sky high for you. I'm very proud of you son! Please tell Alanna we love her and are avilable to help were we can! Sorry I missed his birthday due to being out of town. We'll come by this weekend and meet Jedi Mac Helms.
Love to all, Dad
